The team at Cohen has been great! Everyone is so welcoming every time I go in and it’s just a great environment to keep me motivated! I had a bunch of surgery setbacks when I tore my ACL last year, but the team at Cohen got me back up to speed in no time. I worked with Ethan, who was quickly able to get me on track and set me up with a great strengthening and running plan that helped me figure out my exact areas of weakness that were holding me back. From there I saw big improvements in my overall strength and confidence in my knee, and now I’m very close to returning back to sports!

Sebastian at Cohen Health & Performance is helping me rehab a new Achilles tendinitis and an old knee injury. The experience has been excellent; focussing on addressing the root causes of dysfunction in my leg and achieving goals that I am highly motivated to reach. Sebastian is truly expert. I’m already in a stronger, more functional place than I’ve been in years, and we’re not done yet. The new facility is lovely, and parking is super easy.

Over the past year, physical therapist Ethan at this practice has created a custom pain management program after a back injury left me with chronic pain and distressing mobility issues. At each session Ethan listens carefully, explains his strategy in terms I can understand, demonstrates the move, and then gives me feedback as I learn each move. We also videotape each exercise so I can repeat it accurately at home. Through Ethan’s program, I’ve gained effective pain management techniques and most importantly, the confidence to return to normal activities like flying solo to California last month to visit my daughter in San Francisco. I’ve also been able to return to my 3-hour volunteer docent shifts twice weekly at Smithsonian National Zoo. I greatly appreciate Ethan’s expertise and professionalism, and I strongly recommend his services!
Ethan has been amazing! I suffered with neck pain and intermittent back spasms leaving me unable to walk for 2 days due to pain. All my issues were addressed and I am able to do heavy weightlifting without any issues! It was not easy to figure out exactly what the problem was, there was no way I would be able to figure things out on my own by watching youtube and routine physical therapy workouts would not have addressed my specific issue (I tried). I needed a thorough evaluation to target my specific issue and Ethan was able to do this. Cannot recommend this enough.
Sebastien who I worked with predominantly and sometimes Kelly (for running specifics) were amazing. They listened, and provided respectful insights and feedback on ways to help strengthen and improve my movement. If we needed to change things up they didn't hesitate to optimize my rehab plan. Amazing support.
i was very happy with the PT that i received at CHP in Bethesda. Jordan was terrific both as a therapist and as a person who made my sessions as much fun as possible. I also very much appreciated the ability to do sessions virtually so that i could travel and still get PT.
I have received great care with Dr. Jordan at Cohen Health and Performance. She's incredibly encouraging and positive. She is also very knowledgeable. And when we got stuck a bit, she did extra research to determine the best course of treatment for me. I'm making real progress and feel very hopeful for a full recovery.
The team at Cohen Health is very knowledgable and attentive. I have worked with them for over 2 years and it has helped me rehabilitate various injuries and get me through post op recovery. It's great to be able to focus on best practices and therapy for any injury or pain point, and not be restricted by whatever insurance companies require for therapy.
Not only is this a beautifully curated and equipped facility, it is full of extremely capable, caring, and intellectually curious PT's who set their own standards. Too often patients are run through a completely predetermined routine based on where their pain point is. At CHP, the team not only has the knowledge of human anatomy and physiology, but they understand the application of that knowledge and actually train their patients to be able to rewire their neuromuscular firing patterns to address the root case of pain. This facility is led by a fantastic owner who aims to educate his team and create a network of professionals that can continue to learn from each other. Cannot recommend this place enough!!
I ruptured my quadricep tendon. Having a good surgeon was an important part of the recovery, but what really helped me recover was the therapy provided by CHP. I have learned exercises that I will incorporate into my routines for the rest of my life. Most importantly, however, is CHP got me through my recovery and back to skiing -- one of my favorite activities. On day 6 of 7 and every thing is great. A friend referred me to Cohen for training and physical therapy services before I had knee surgery to repair torn meniscus in a knee. After a 3 month regiment of training and therapy with Dr. Jordan Arbuckle there, my surgically repaired knee feels great and is 100% back, and my entire lower body has new strength and agility I never thought possible. Cohen H&P is top notch and I recommend them and Jordan to anyone.

I work with Sam at Cohen Health And performance. I have had physical therapy before and this is by far the best place I have been to with the best staff. I have results in less than a month. They work very closely with their patients and make sure to come Up with a plan that is doable at home and gives results. If there were more than five stars, I would give it.
I had several sessions with Dr. Kelly and it was a complete game changer for me. I had hip/glute pain from distance running and wanted a permanent solution so I could keep running. Dr. Kelly worked with me to address those issues and develop a sustainable workout plan that would continue to strengthen key muscles and enable me to keep running. She is incredibly smart and patient!
I've been going to Cohen Health and Performance for several years. I first went to deal with specific injuries but have been going monthly for the past 4-5 years to work on specific exercises to support my latest goal (I am an ultrarunner) and prevent rather than treat injuries. The team is supportive and enthusiastic about my goals and are not only PTs but cheerleaders! If I can give them more than 5 stars I would :)
I’m a former physical therapist, and have had weird sensations in my left leg for three years. I tried many things over the years, including physical therapy at five different locations. Each time I was disappointed, as the treatment was formulaic and, apart from the initial evaluation, I only spoke with the physical therapist for 5 minutes at each session. And I didn’t get any better. Towards the end of last year I received a recommendation to try Cohen Health and Performance. My friend let me know that it’s out of network, but assured me that I’d be happy I went there. And he was so right. The difference is night and day, and after three long and painful years, I’ve finally made progress and am feeling well again. I had10 sessions with Dr Kelly Henry. She worked with me, and only me, for an hour each session, and tailored my in clinic and at home exercise program each week based on my progress. She watched closely to make sure I was doing the exercises correctly, and made adjustments if I wasn’t. And if I couldn’t tolerate a specific exercise, she adjusted it so that I could, all the while targeting the muscle that needed to be strengthened. My symptoms decreased, and my function improved. Thank you Kelly, and thank you Cohen Health and Performance. I hope I won’t need physical therapy in the future, but if I do, I’ll be back. It’s the only physical therapy model that worked for my strange set of symptoms.
I had a great experience at Cohen Health and Performance, especially working with Sam. After my shoulder surgery and some knee troubles, Sam helped me get back in shape for MMA fighting. He kept things simple but was really thorough, making sure we worked on both my shoulder and knee until I was good to go. The place is friendly and all about getting you back to your best. Both my daughter and I received physical therapy at Cohen Health and Performance for more than a year. We would highly recommend their services. Kelly Henry (PT, DPT, CSCS) provided excellent care, tailoring her sessions to our specific and very different needs. My daughter is a runner and Dr. Henry provided training to help her avoid re-injuring herself. Dr. Henry also shared my PT exercises with my personal trainer so that we could all be on the same page. Dr. Henry is incredibly knowledgeable, responsive and truly kind. We were so grateful to have found her and will return in the event that we have other PT issues. Overall great experience with Dr. Sam and Cohen Health and Performance. I had PRP injections for my shoulder (rotator tear, tendinopathy) and it was recommended by the shoulder Doctor to not just go to your run-of-the-mill PT specialist, but actually go to those that specialize in PT for athletes and high fitness individuals. My shoulder hasn't felt this good in 5+ years and I'm on my way to rebuilding my strength with the help from Dr. Sam.
We were referred to Cohen Health and Performance by our daughter’s orthopedic doctor after recovering from an injury. Kelly executed a plan to rebuild our daughter’s back and core strength and flexibility. This included keeping us updated on her recovery process and quickly answering any questions. Our daughter looked forward to her sessions and stayed motivated with the help of Kelly, and she is back to doing the activities she missed during her injury. We cannot thank Kelly enough for the wonderful work she has done and highly recommend her and Cohen Health and Performance.
Sam is so great! I had a knee injury while working out and got connected to Cohen Health and Performance through my gym. Sam and Kelly wanted me to get back doing what I love as fast but as safely as I could. Super fun and rewarding sessions with Sam got me back in the gym doing what I love!
My physical therapist Dr. Kelly Henry is the greatest ever. At first, she listened me carefully, and clearly explained me how our musculoskeletal system works and convinced me that I have to strengthen my back and hip area to relieve the chronic pain I’m dealing for 20 years. She worked on my painful body parts beginning of the each session and tried to find the right exercises without hurting me. After 2 months of therapy, I’m pain free, and I continue my repetitions every other day in order to keep my mobility and flexibility. I highly recommend Dr. Kelly and Cohen Health & Performance
